Our beef is 100% grass fed, never any grain. And no hormones, drugs, antibiotics or vaccines, either. This year we will be processing our first certified organic beef. Inspected and processed at a processing plant that is an approved organic processor. Our calves get Mom’s milk and quickly learn to graze the green growing grasses in our certified organic pastures. We rotationally graze, which means we move the cattle to new pastures all the time. They get free-choice kelp and Redmonds salt. Puttting up our own hay for winter feed, we work to have stockpiled grasses through most of the winter for them to feed on too. We amend our soils with approved natural mined minerals to get the mineral content up in the grasses and use biological sprays of beneficial bacteria and fungi that work in the ecosphere of the root systems to provide good uptake of the minerals into the plants. Healthy pastures, healthy animals, healthy people. That’s what we’re after.
